Nepean Strengthens Senior Team with Deloitte Hire

Magdalena Andrzejewska has joined Nepean as an Associate Director, bringing with her impressive experience and know-how across asset management, financial services and sustainability.

With a decade of both in-house and agency experience, Magdalena’s background in communications, strategy and ESG is boosted by her MBA – graduating with distinction from the Rotterdam School of Management, internationally renowned for its approach to sustainability.

Magdalena joins Nepean from her role as Sustainable Finance Manager at Deloitte. She previously worked at Lansons, M&G Investments and Triodos Investment Management, creating and delivering communications plans, as well as supporting fund launches.

With more senior appointments coming soon, Magdalena’s arrival follows a refresh of the firm’s website and proposition. Nepean is a management consultancy specialising in reputation. Research and insight underpins strategy and delivery not just on what businesses need to do but how they need to do it – their Corporate Body Language.

“Our clients expect best advice, rooted – among other things – in an understanding of the latest developments in the world of regulation and ESG best practice,” said Gavin Davis, Founder and Managing Partner at Nepean.

“Magdalena’s experience will allow us to do even more, expertly – becoming an ever more strategic partner capable of delivering insight-driven, human-led advice fit for an ever-changing world.”

Magdalena Andrzejewska said: “Nepean is a unique business in their approach to problem solving and how they support clients. The focus is not just on communications, regulation, or strategy, but it’s about how to combine all these elements to help companies grow in a sustainable way.

“This is what makes Nepean stand out and why it is perfectly positioned to address clients’ needs against a challenging economic landscape. I am excited to be joining the team to help the business grow and drive it forward over the coming years.”

Nepean Quick Five

1. What was your first job?

Door to door salesperson in Poznan (Poland) when I was 16, selling telephone contracts! Probably one of the most difficult jobs I have ever done. Great starting point to the world of sales and how to approach people.

2. What in your career to-date are you most proud of?

At one point at M&G I was doing two jobs at the same time covering UK as my primary role, and was asked to look after Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for a colleague who was on an extended absence. I got to practice my German, visit colleagues abroad, and form new relationships which was very enjoyable. And I certainly developed my time management skills to make sure I deliver good results on “both fronts”.

3. What is your greatest professional strength?

I am very resilient and never give up. A good example is probably completing my MBA with a newborn. I did consider deferring when I found out I was pregnant at the very beginning of the programme but then thought I had to pull myself together and do it. And I am really glad I did. Kill two birds with one stone!

4. What’s your favourite book?

Novels based on true events are definitely my favourite like Rani Lakshmibai by Deepa Agarwal.

5. What would be your Mastermind specialist subject?

Second World War history (I am a massive history geek and I know this probably sounds terrible boring to most).
