Role and Responsibilities

Analysts are at the start of their consultancy career.

You provide important and valuable day-to-day support and growing judgement for client relationships and the smooth running of Nepean. You provide timely, accurate and trusted research, monitoring, drafting and insight, to ensure Nepean can deliver a truly evidenced and strategic service to clients.

Your work is not siloed, and you may handle projects across our practice areas.

Client support

Delivering high quality, rapid and insightful work that supports the client to achieve their objectives.

Client meeting arrangement.

Drafting thoughtful agendas, including liaising with the client to finalise and agree.

Capturing appropriate actions and meeting minutes and supporting delivery.

Generating and drafting accurate and thoughtful key client collateral, including proofing and editing.

Current affairs and coverage

Taking ownership for rapid, accurate, insightful monitoring and understanding of external conversations at critical moments for clients, applying meaningful analysis and judgement.

Keeping up to date with current affairs and developments relevant to your clients and Nepean

Understanding how to access and monitor the external conversations that matter. Understanding the best approaches to the right information and being cognisant of developments in media and monitoring

Sending rapid and insightful updates on those conversations to clients, as necessary.

Understanding and appreciating how the external conversation that impacts client reputations is made up of connecting discussions that occur in traditional print and broadcast news and social media.


Thoughtful, diligent and comprehensive researcher of critical matters, that aids the client’s understanding of a critical matter

Researching potential clients, sectors and stories, including historic media coverage and key stories. This is more than information, this is growing judgment about what this tells us about risks to and opportunities for Nepean and our clients.

Knowing who is driving the conversation about our clients. Who matters in the media, who is influential online etc.

Building out insightful briefs for team members and clients on key people or topics.

Strategy and New Business

Contributing to the growth of the business through marketing and developing new thinking.

Research tasks for new business. Judgment and information.

Contributing ideas for new thinking, new business and marketing ideas

Drafting quality opinion leadership for Nepean on key topics

Begin to build a network of contacts to support your work and the effectiveness of Nepean.

Team and Office Development

Assisting in the smooth communication with the Nepean network.

Be part of the ideas generation and delivery of content and opinion leadership on Nepean website and social media channels

Distributing communications to all Nepean contacts

Attending occasional webinars, lectures and networking sessions, to develop your knowledge of and insight into key industries
